Terms and Conditions

General

The Application provides a platform for students ("Users") to rate and review university professors and courses, and to interact with the student community.

By becoming a User, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by these Terms. We may suspend or terminate your access if you do not comply with them.

These Terms apply to any person who accesses, downloads, registers for, or supplies information to the Application.

Eligibility and Account Safety

You represent that you can legally use the Application, have the capacity to form a binding contract, and are not barred under applicable law.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and your contact information accurate. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

Anonymity — Scope and Limits

When you post ratings, reviews, opinions, or comments, your identity is hidden FROM OTHER USERS AND THE PUBLIC. Other Users see you as "User" and do not see your name, email, or profile photo.

This anonymity is NOT absolute and does NOT extend to the Provider or to lawful authorities. We retain your identifying information internally and may access it for safety, moderation, and legal-compliance purposes.

We WILL disclose your identity and associated data (including IP address, device information, and timestamps) to competent authorities — including the Public Prosecution and the Ministry of Interior — when required by law, court order, or in connection with a criminal investigation, including investigations of defamation (قذف) or insult (سب) under Kuwait Cybercrime Law No. 63 of 2015.

Anonymity is a feature to encourage honest academic feedback. It is not a shield for unlawful conduct.

User Responsibility for Content

You are solely and personally responsible for the content you post. You must not post content that is unlawful, defamatory, insulting, harassing, threatening, abusive, obscene, hateful, an invasion of privacy, or that accuses an identifiable person of misconduct without lawful basis.

Posting defamatory or insulting content about an identifiable individual (including professors, staff, or other students) violates these Terms AND may constitute a criminal offense under Kuwait Cybercrime Law No. 63 of 2015 and the Penal Code. You bear sole legal responsibility for such content.

You acknowledge and agree that, in the event of a lawful complaint or investigation concerning your content, the Provider will cooperate fully with the authorities and may disclose your identifying information as described in the "Anonymity" section above.

We reserve the right to remove any content and to suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms or the law, with or without notice.

Community Reporting and Automatic Removal

Any User may report a rating, review, or comment they believe violates these Terms. Reports are counted per User: reporting the same content more than once does not count more than once, and reports made from the timeline count together with reports made from the professor, subject, or university page.

The first report on published content places it under administrative review. Once FOUR OR MORE different Users report the same content, our automated spam system removes it IMMEDIATELY and hides it from the Application, without waiting for a manual review.

Automatic removal is a protective measure, not a finding of guilt. Content removed this way may be reinstated on review if we determine the reports were unfounded, and we may act on a single report — or on no report at all — where content is manifestly unlawful.

Deliberately misusing the reporting feature — for example, coordinating with others to remove lawful content — is itself a violation of these Terms and may result in suspension or termination of your account.

Data We Collect and Logging

To operate the Application and comply with the law, we collect and store: your name, email, university/college/major, and account credentials; and technical data including IP addresses, device identifiers, and timestamps associated with your activity (including posting comments).

Personal data is stored securely. We disclose it only to comply with a legal obligation, court order, or lawful request from a competent authority.

Data retention: technical logs (including IP addresses) are retained for a limited period in accordance with operational and legal requirements, after which they may be permanently deleted.

Exclusion of Liability and Disclaimers

The Application and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We use a commercially reasonable level of skill and care but do not warrant that the content is accurate, complete, up to date, or free from errors.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Provider shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your access to or use of (or inability to use) the Application, or from any User content.

Ratings, reviews, and opinions posted by Users are their own and do not represent the views of the Provider. The Provider is not responsible for the accuracy or content of User-generated material.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold the Provider and its affiliates harmless from all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your access to or use of the Application, your content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of another.

Amendments to These Terms

We may amend these Terms at any time by posting an updated version. Each version carries a version number and effective date. The current version supersedes all previous versions as of its effective date.

For material changes, we may require you to re-accept the updated Terms before continuing to use the Application. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kuwait. You agree that the courts of the State of Kuwait have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising in relation to these Terms.
